KEC is looking to organize an insiders group of helpers, people that want to see this site grow. When possible, we will be hiring from this pool of interns. Here are a few of the internships available:
Usability Test Subjects We need a few people that know how to use Skype, to visit the KEC website, and think-out-loud as they attempt to do certain tasks. This helps us understand if the website is doing what it is supposed to do.
Section Editors We need one editor to head up each of our information area: Job Listing, Grant Deadlines, Calendar Events, News Stories and Resource Links. Estimated time commitment is approximately 4 hours per week. Columnists If you have expertise, in subjects of primary interest to nonprofit organizations, please consider writing a monthly column for this website and the Information Exchange Newsletter. This is a good way to promote your own services and do something good for the community at the same time.
If you are interested in helping with any of these tasks, please contact Remo Campopiano, Email
If you have other suggestions, please contact Milinda Butterworth, Email or Remo Campopiano, Email

But before we drink from that particular glass of nonprofit Kool-Aid, let's take a closer look at the standard rationales for these assertions - to see how they hold up to even modest scrutiny." ...read more
