Calendar of Events
Welcome to the Calendar of Events for the Knowledge Exchange Center of Rhode Island™. Here you can view upcoming training opportunities, conferences and seminars, special events that are going on in non-profits here in Rhode Island, local initiatives and national observances, as well as events offered at the Knowledge Exchange Center. You can click on all or various categories and on any event title to get more detailed information. KEC's Calendar of Events... a resource for nonprofit organizations and friends of nonprofits. Use the calendar to:
Learn out about events and training opportunities.
Publicize your organization's events.
Avoid scheduling conflicts with other organizations' events.
There are 6,715* nonprofit organizations in Rhode Island, and it's inevitable that we experience scheduling conflicts when we plan our events. This resource is intended to help us keep abreast of what's going on as well as help us to keep track and avoid event overlap.
Our online Nonprofit Calendar is the perfect tool to help all of us schedule events in advance. You can see what's going on this month, next month, even next year. Use the easy link on the event calendar to send us your nonprofit events, and we'll do the rest!
Need to add an event for your organization? Non-profits are welcome to post events to the calendar for free. Others may post events as well, and can show their appreciation by sending a small donation to the Knowledge Exchange Center. Events should be hosted by or of direct relevance to nonprofit organizations. KEC will review the postings before they are made public (allow 1-2 days for your submission to appear) and reserves the right to decline to post events which appear to be inconsistent with the mission of KEC. The Knowledge Exchange Center reserves the right to limit event listings and preference for posting events will be given to KEC Members.

*************************** Saturday September 20, 2008 -Yard Sale to benefit the Spindle City Ballet, Fall River, the Southcoast's only non-profit professional ballet company. We have done them in the past, but this will be different. We are asking for people to support the company by bringing and selling their own items on the day of the sale. We will have storage if you have some big items that you would not be able to put in your car on the day of the sale. After the yard sale, we are asking that you take home with you any items that you do not sell. And then we would ask that you donate 50% of your proceeds to the ballet company. We will be using the front parking area of the Almeida Electric building, so we should get great drive-by traffic. We will also be having a bake sale and lemonade sale and so would love donations for that as well. If you have any items to donate, please contact Lynne Skillen by e-mail or at 508-536-6073.
